Our European Union spacious conference would like to present the economic potentials of inherent European design in a new, multiform approach. Our event in accordance with the slogan of BDW (Budapest Design Week) beside the trio of design, local economy and sustainability focuses on relationships between the cultural creative industry and small businesses. Our international speakers analyzes the relationship between the design and European economic policy and the sustainability efforts on the basis of their EU's experiences and researches. The emerging concept of the event's presentation titles is a kind of discussion starter which points out the increasingly determining economic role of design. The speakers of the topics are global-minded researchers, economic consultants, policy makers. Our event would like to present the designers beside their artistic attitude came to fore in some of the creative industrial sectors as “the engineers of the future”, and the design as the hottest area of the innovation. The conference language is English. The event is free for 250 participants thanks to the support of EU's Central Europe Programme but registration is necessary.
